TechPlace business STARC Systems was recently featured in “Health Facilities Management” magazine.

The article appeared in the August 2016 Field Report under the headline: “Containment barrier keeps patients safe during renovation”.

The story focused how Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, Maine, recently undertook a major renovation in and around the facility’s emergency department. The medical center was challenged to perform the work without any interruption in emergency services, while also protecting patients and staff from potentially hazardous airborne particles. To meet the challenge, CMMC chose STARC (Simple Telescopic Airtight Reusable Containment) for the required construction barrier for the renovation.

Health Facilities Management magazine is described by Chris MacKenzie, STARC Systems’ Vice President of Marketing, as the “Wall Street Journal of our industry.” The publication is intended for decision-makers charged with designing, building and maintaining safe, efficient and sustainable healthcare environments.
