We hosted 30 students and faculty from Baxter Academy in Portland today at TechPlace as part of Maine Manufacturing Day. Students learned about lean manufacturing from Steve Westra of the Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership. They took a short tour of TechPlace, which included a parts production demo by StudioV.
TechPlace business STARC Systems was recently featured in “Health Facilities Management” magazine. The article appeared in the August 2016 Field Report under the headline: “Containment barrier keeps patients safe during renovation”.
